Michael Binder, is a film expert, who has an incredibly keen understanding of the Golden age of film. In fact, he's written at least two books on the history of film preservation and restoration:

"A light Affliction: a History of Film Preservation and Restoration"

"Halliwell's Horizon: Leslie Halliwell and his Film Guides"

When he came across a video mashup on YouTube for the Bruno Mars and Mark Ronson's "Uptown Funk," which won a Grammy for song of the year, 2016, he was inspired. They used clips from movies in the last few decades strung together to the beat of the song. He was interested in doing the same, except using film clips from the Golden Age of film. Using that era of cinema meant he could only use titles BEFORE 1953.

In putting together this project, he wanted to sync everything perfectly. That meant he would NOT speed up or slow down any clips in the sequence. He had to puzzle together all the clips, while making sure that they corresponded precisely with each note of the song.

I could only imagine how many numerous hours were spent meticulously putting this reel together. It is superbly done, and will absolutely make you want to get up and move!

Wait Until You See This Video!

While you watch this outstanding video, Michael Binder suggests turning on the subtitles to get the title of each film corresponding to each clip. The whole thing is absolutely FANTASTIC and is SPOT on!

Enjoy this incredible MASTERPIECE!
